SUMMARY

This apprenticeship is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to professionally service and maintain domestic heating products.

The programme includes an accredited ACS Gas Safety qualification, allowing you to join the Gas Safe Register. You will attend college on a block release basis to gain the underpinning knowledge required and embed this learning through practical experience with your mentor.

Apprenticeship Duration: At least 18 Months

Apprenticeship Pathways

1. 2.5-year programme – includes Level 2 Plumbing and ACS Gas Safety o Minimum entry requirements: 4 GCSEs (grade A–C / 4–9), including Maths and English (or equivalent)
2. 2-year programme – for those already holding a Level 2 Plumbing qualification (or equivalent), includes ACS Gas Safety

Person Specification:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Teamworking ability

Initiative and creativity in problem-solving

Motivation, adaptability, and a strong work ethic

A full UK driving licence (or working towards one)

Evidence of 4 GCSEs at grade A–C / 4–9 (including Maths and English) or equivalent

Aged 19+

Resident in the UK or EU Member state for at least 3 years

Right to work in the UK

Standard working week: 40 hours, Monday–Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break)
